How sweeps works
Most sweepstakes casinos use two kinds of coins. One is for fun, and the other can be redeemed for prizes.
Gold Coins
Gold Coins are for play only. They have no cash value and can't be redeemed.
Sweeps Coins
Sweeps Coins are sweepstakes entries you can play with. They can't be bought. Casinos give them as a free bonus with Gold Coin packs, and through free methods of entry. Coins you've played and won can usually be redeemed for prizes once you meet that casino's rules.
Free entry
You should never have to buy anything to play with Sweeps Coins. Each casino has to offer a free way to get them, such as a mail-in request. Check how that works before you buy.
ID checks
Most casinos check your ID before your first redemption. Have it ready, and make sure your account details match it.
Redeeming prizes
- Most casinos set a minimum amount to redeem.
- Coins usually need to be played through at least once.
- Redemptions can take days, and gift cards and bank transfers can take very different times.
Is it legal where I live?
It depends on your state, and the rules are changing quickly. See where we show offers, and check each casino's own terms.
